As the most valuable perfume in the world, Amouage has its roots in the Sultanate of Oman. Their perfume making is never fast, but it takes years of patience and hard work. The gold ornaments on the beautiful bottles are made by hand. Amouage uses the original ingredients from Oman - silver incense, myrrh and burdock. Today, as in ancient times, the valuable powder from the incense tree is hand-picked by the caste of selected shepherds. Amouage uses the essence of an extremely rare flower (Oman bush), which grows and blooms in a short period of time each year, in the remote mountains of Oman.
